Thiruvananthapuram District Olympic Association was formed and existed as an ad-hoc committee with Mr. K S Balagopal as the Chairman and Mr. R. Ayyappan as the Convener. From the starting itself so many innovative ideas were taken into consideration to reach out the idea of importance of sports to public and to make Thiruvananthapuram District Olympic Association .
